Hello! I’m De'Sean. Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and founder of Baked By De.

I have always enjoyed cooking throughout my life and at one point I even wanted to have my own restaurant. Baking was something I did every now and then. After attempting to make my sons first birthday cake in 2023 and shedding lots of tears because it turned into a melted hot mess, I decided to take a leap of faith and put in the time, effort and money to learning new recipes and designing beautiful cakes and cupcakes. In that time I've grown a strong passion for creating desserts. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

 

All of my cakes and cupcakes are made from scratch. While I have absolutely nothing against store bought cakes or boxed cake mixes, I like to know what is all going into my deserts. Not only for myself but for my customers as well. And yes, they taste as good as they look!

As I am continuing to expand, I am continuously experimenting with new flavors and new ways to decorate (such as fondant), so it never gets boring. It has been a great journey so far and I'm very excited to meet and work with new people as well as those who have had my desserts and come back for more.
